We hope you are fine! We have some nice news today as the Kickstarter for the Encyclopedia starts in 4 days 0_0

First of all here is an early access to the Kickstarter page. You will be able to see what it looks like and get more information about the Encyclopedia. You will also receive a new 40-page excerpt by email very soon ^^ 

It's also the occasion to present you the Early bird bonus for this new campaign! He's becoming a mascot... the Pickpocat!

Here is also something we are very happy to share with you! This is the first episode of an Actual play played on Let's Role, featuring Amelia Rose Blair as the GM. Players are Erika Ishii, Alexander Ward and Bryan Dechart. It is based on the story of Benjamin Diebling The Butterfly's Dirge. Enjoy!

Finally, we want to put the spotlight on the project of an independent creator: Tournament of Pigs from Weird Works. They have 4 days left to reach their goal, send them some love ^^

Tournament of Pigs is a Zero-Level boxed set adventure. It includes a 100 page campaign book, standees, an arena battle board, and player aids.  Players will compete in the adventure for silver prizes and to ultimately be declared the winner of the tournament. But survival will mean making alliances with other players and working as a team to solve puzzles and defeat deadly scenarios.

Nous avons plusieurs news sympas aujourd’hui alors que le Kickstarter pour l’Encyclopédie commence dans 4 jours 0_0

Tout d’abord voici un accès anticipé à la page. Vous pourrez voir à quoi elle ressemble et obtenir plus d’informations sur l’Encyclopédie. Vous allez également recevoir un nouvel extrait de 40 pages par email très bientôt ^^

C’est aussi l’occasion de vous présenter le bonus pour les Early bird ! Il est en train de devenir une mascotte… le Chacripaon !

Voici également quelque chose que nous sommes très heureux de partager avec vous ! Il s’agit du premier épisode d’un Actual play joué sur Let’s Role, avec Amelia Rose Blair comme GM. Les joueurs sont Erika Ishii, Alexander Ward et Bryan Dechart. Il se base sur le scénario de la Complainte du Papillon de Benjamin Diebling.

Pour finir, nous voulons donner un coup de projecteur au projet d’un créateur indépendant : Tournament of Pigs de Weird Works. Il leur reste 4 jours pour atteindre leur objectif, envoyez-leur un peu d’amour ^^

There was a bug when we sent out the PDF of the Drakenbergen and 1500 of you received a french version instead of an english one... well, it's a good way for you to learn french but... not very handy to use all this material in your games XD Anyway! It's fixed and a new link should arrive in your mailbox very soon... sorry again for the inconvenience!

We received questions about the next Kickstarter to come on March 8th: Encyclopedia! We're preparing an email dedicated to our entire community with early access to the Kickstarter page. Stay tuned:)

A quick word about the $15 credit. If you are a Creatures backer and you back to the Kickstarter Encyclopedia, you will get a $15 credit automatically, which will be added after the Encyclopedia campaign to your Backerkit account. You don't have to do anything to get it, it will be automatic as long as you use the same account to back the new campaign. Your Creatures and Encyclopedia rewards will be shipped at the same time, hopefully around June. We are still waiting for a precise delivery schedule, as soon as we have it, we will let you know. This credit will only be given to backers taking a printed version, not digital backers.

This new Kickstarter will be an opportunity to introduce several new nice items! They are ready and won't delay the final delivery ^^Today, we take advantage of this update to present you the Condition Cards! They will be included with the Red Dragon edition or as an option per unit. Here are the first visuals :

This deck of 26 cards in tarot size will provide you with handy rules reminders. Whenever a PC is under the effect of a condition, they can place the corresponding card in front of them. 16 of the cards cover the base conditions (blinded, charmed, deafened, dying, exhaustion, frightened, grappled, incapacitated, invisible, paralyzed, petrified, poisoned, prone, restrained, stunned, unconscious), while 9 describe original conditions suited to a dark, gritty play style (numb, possessed, wound (general rules), back wound, face wound, head wound, lower limb wound, torso wound, upper limb wound). Finally, the 26th card is a general reminder of the rules associated with conditions.

Il y a eu un bug lorsque nous avons envoyé le PDF des Drakenbergen et 1500 d'entre vous ont reçu uun PDF dans la mauvaise langue... pas super pratique pour utiliser tout ce matériel dans vos parties XD

Nous avons reçu pas mal de question sur le prochain Kickstarter à venir le 8 mars : Encyclopedie ! Nous préparons un email dédié à toute notre communauté avec un accès anticipé à la page Kickstarter :)

Un petit mot à propos des $15 de crédit. Si vous êtes un souscripteur Creatures et que vous souscrivez au Kickstarter Encyclopédie, vous obtiendrez un crédit de $15 automatiquement, qui sera ajouté après la campagne Encyclopédie à votre compte Backerkit. Vous n'avez rien à faire pour obtenir, ce sera automatique à condition que vous utilisiez le même compte pour souscrire. Vos contreparties Creatures et Encyclopédie seront expédiées en même temps, nous espérons autour du mois de juin. Nous attendons toujours un calendrier précis de livraison, dès que nous l'aurons, nous vous le dirons. We hope you are well ^^

Tonight, an update on the theme of the Encyclopedia. First of all, we are delighted to announce that the second part, unlocked via the stretch goal, will arrive very soon on your Backerkit account. It weighs 70 pages and focuses on the Drakenbergen region. In short, it's a mix between dwarf foklore ... and misty mountains, vampire territory! Enough to liven up your campaigns with lots of new ideas and game options :)

The Kickstarter dedicated to the Encyclopedia will start on March 8th, we have postponed its start a bit. The campaign will last a fortnight. The Encyclopedia is a kind of toolbox for your homebrew campaigns, with lots of ready-to-play material for your next stories. We really hope you will enjoy this Lore book, which will be 360 pages in total.

To be notified, cick notify me on launch on this prelaunch KS page. We have a nice bonus for early birds, don't miss the first day ^^

This Kickstarter campaign will also be an opportunity to offer the Fateforge boxes as add-ons, designed to hold the first 4 books in the series: Adventurers, Grimoire, Creatures and Encyclopedia. There are two versions of which you can see the renderings below. The boxes are currently being manufactured. The Kickstarter campaign in March will allow us to add the number ordered by backers :)

There will also be a few other cool options that we will introduce in a future update ^^

Ce soir, une mise à jour sur le thème de l'Encyclopédie. Tout d'abord, nous sommes ravis de vous annoncer que la seconde partie, débloquée via les stretch goal, va arriver très vite sur votre compte Backerkit. Elle pèse 70 pages et se concentre sur la région des Drakenbergen. Pour résumer, c'est un mélange entre le foklore nain … et les montagnes brumeuses, territoire des vampires ! De quoi agrémenter vos campagnes avec plein de nouvelles idées et options de jeu :)

Le Kickstarter dédié à l'Encyclopédie débutera le 8 mars, nous avons repoussé un peu son démarrage. La campagne durera une quinzaine de jours. L'Encyclopédie est une sorte de boîte à outils pour vos campagnes maison, avec plein de matériel prêt-à-jouer pour vos prochaines histoires. Nous espérons que vous aimerez ce livre qui fera au total 360 pages.

New Kickstarter for Encyclopdia + New Schedule for Add ons and Shipping Payment + Draconis PDF

Here is an important update! We're going to cover three topics today: here’s a summary if you don't really have time to read everything...

• 1/ Payment for Creatures’ shipping and options on Backerkit is postponed to May.
• 2/ The new Kickstarter for the Encyclopedia campaign has been approved: it will start on March 1st and all Creatures backers will be offered a $15 credit to cover additional shipping cost.
• 3/ The PDF of the Draconis artbook will be uploaded shortly on your Backerkit accounts :)

Now we’ll go into detail concerning these three points, let's go!

1/ Payment of shipping costs and your options on Backerkit

Initially, we had planned to charge credit cards in February for the payment of your shipping costs and options on Backerkit. Since production delays have lengthened and that money will mainly be used to pay for the shipping costs, we have decided to postpone the charging of cards until May. By then, we will have an update for production and see if the time is right.

At this time, you can no longer add options to your account. However, with the new Kickstarter campaign coming next month for the Encyclopedia, a new Backerkit phase will open: then, you will be able to add items to your order.

If you have any problems with your Backerkit account or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us, we will do our best to answer you as soon as possible.

2/ New Kickstarter campaign in March for the Encyclopedia

There, it is confirmed! It took us a while to reach a decision, seeing as we needed to go over several aspects. First of all, we wanted your opinion, you, our backers. Over 1,000 of you voted! Thank you very much for taking the time to do so. Below are the results of the vote.

But that's not all, we also wanted to get approval from the Kickstarter team. We contacted them and explained the situation (our other project, Shadows of Esteren, is also impacted by this production delay); after our project was reviewed by Kickstarter's Trust & Safety team, they came back to us to approve it.

Finally, a third, important point: we have been in talks with our logistics coordinators in France and in the United States, with the aim being to implement a grouped delivery for backers who would back both Kickstarters (Creatures and Encyclopedia). The reason for this is very simple: your Creatures package would be grouped with the Encyclopedia’s, thus bringing together all bonuses and rewards from both campaigns, which will save on shipping costs but also reduce energy costs and thus trying to have a more sustainable project. Again, we received a positive response!

Now that this Kickstarter campaign has been validated, here are the key facts to remember:

•  Encyclopedia will be a complete Lore Book for all 5e game masters. It will help you forge your campaign with dozens of ready to use colorful cities, locations, NPCs and magical items. If you play in the world of Eana, you will find a lot of informations about 4 main civilisations. You will receive soon the second part of the Encyclopedia, as part of your stretch goals: the Drakenbergen.
• The new Encyclopedia Kickstarter campaign will begin on March 1st and will last only about 10 to 15 days, at the most. Early birds will receive a nice and cute bonus, so don't miss the launch! Don't worry: we'll post an update here on the day of the launch.
•  As a Creatures backer, you'll be offered a $15 credit to cover most of the shipping costs of the new Encyclopedia campaign. Please note that to benefit from this credit, you will need to use the same email address as the one you used for Creatures (that is to say, use the same Kickstarter account).
•  The new Encyclopedia Kickstarter won’t impact the delivery of Creatures. This was also important to us. We are currently finishing the Encyclopedia book and its final version should be ready by the end of the Kickstarter campaign, around mid-March. Like the other books, it will be printed in Europe. All the bonuses we have planned have already been created in the last few months. They will be produced in China along with the other accessories currently on the waiting list. In short, the Stretch Goals of this new Kickstarter (check below some of the maps we have done ^^) will pay for the production of these bonuses, which will be offered to all backers, some of which will be available in retail by the end of 2021 or some time in 2022.

3/ Draconis, Chane's art book in PDF format

We used the production delays to give one last, quick look at Chane's artbook, Draconis... It is now finished, and it will be uploaded to your Backerkit accounts very soon after this update. As a reminder, the first Draconis artbook has been unlocked as a bonus and the PDF version will be sent to all backers. For those of you who chose the printed version of the artbook during the Backerkit phase, you will also receive a PDF including the second part, Sparks!

Voici une mise à jour importante ! Nous allons aborder trois sujets aujourd'hui et voici un résumé si vous n'avez pas vraiment le temps de tout lire...

• 1/ Paiement des frais de port et des options sur Backerkit pour Créatures décalé au mois de mai.
• 2/ La nouvelle campagne Kickstarter pour l’Encyclopédie est validée : elle commencera le 1er mars et tous les souscripteurs de Créatures auront 15 $ de crédit.
• 3/ Le PDF du artbook Draconis va arriver sur votre compte Backerkit. :)

Cette mise à jour va maintenant rentrer dans le détail de ces trois points, c’est parti !

1/ Paiement des frais de port et de vos options sur Backerkit

Nous avions initialement prévu de débiter vos cartes en février pour le paiement de vos frais de port et options sur Backerkit. Comme les délais de fabrication se sont rallongés, et que cet argent va surtout servir à payer les frais de port, nous avons préféré décaler leur prélèvement au mois de mai. À ce moment-là nous verrons où en est la fabrication et si c’est le bon moment.

Il n’est plus possible à l’heure actuelle de rajouter des options à votre compte. Cependant sachez qu’avec la nouvelle campagne Kickstarter qui arrive le mois prochain pour l’Encyclopédie, une nouvelle phase de Backerkit sera ouverte et vous pourrez alors compléter votre commande.

Si vous avez le moindre problème avec votre compte Backerkit ou si vous avez une question, n’hésitez pas à nous contacter, nous ferons au mieux pour vous répondre dans les meilleurs délais.

N’oubliez pas que nous n’utilisons plus vraiment la boîte de messages privés Kickstarter donc utilisez plutôt le lien ci-dessus pour nous contacter. Merci à tous. :)

2/ Nouvelle campagne Kickstarter en mars pour l’Encyclopédie

Voilà, c’est confirmé ! Nous avons mis du temps pour prendre notre décision mais il fallait régler plusieurs aspects. Tout d’abord, nous voulions votre avis, à vous, nos souscripteurs. Vous avez été plus de 1 000 à voter ! Merci beaucoup d’avoir pris le temps. Les résultats sont ci-dessous.

 Mais ce n’est pas tout, nous voulions aussi avoir l’approbation de l'équipe de Kickstarter. Nous les avons contactés en leur expliquant la situation (notre autre projet Shadows of Esteren est également concerné par ce délai de production) et après que notre projet ait été revu par la Trust & Safety team de Kickstarter, ils sont revenus vers nous pour le valider.

Enfin, troisième point, et un point important : nous avons discuté avec nos logisticiens situés en France et aux États-Unis, avec comme objectif de pouvoir mettre en œuvre une livraison groupée pour les souscripteurs qui participeraient à la fois aux Kickstarter Créatures et Encyclopédie. L'objectif de tout cela est très simple, que votre colis Créatures soit groupé avec celui d'Encyclopédie, en rassemblant ainsi les bonus et les contreparties des deux campagnes, afin d’économiser des frais de port sans oublier les économies d'énergie. Là aussi, nous avons reçu une réponse positive !

Maintenant que cette campagne Kickstarter est validée, voici les infos clés à retenir :

•  L'Encyclopédie sera un manuel complet pour tous les meneurs de la 5e édition consacré au lore et aux cadres de campagne. Vous y trouverez des dizaines de cités, lieux, PNJs et objets magiques prêts à être utilisés dans votre prochain scénario. Si vous jouez une campagne dans Eana, l'Encyclopédie vous offre des informations détaillées sur 4 civilisations. Vous allez recevoir très bientôt la seconde partie de l'Encyclopédie, faisant partie de vos stretch goals : les Drakenbergen.
• La nouvelle campagne Kickstarter Encyclopédie commencera le 1er mars et durera seulement une dizaine de jours, 15 au maximum. Il y aura un bonus sympa et exclusif pour les Early birds, ne ratez pas le lancement ! Ne vous inquiétez pas, nous posterons une update ici, le jour du lancement.
•  Comme souscripteur de Créatures, vous aurez un crédit de $15, qui servira à couvrir la plus grande partie des frais de port de la nouvelle campagne encyclopédie. Attention, pour bénéficier de ce crédit, il faudra absolument utiliser le même e-mail que pour votre pledge Créatures (même compte Kickstarter).
•  Le nouveau Kickstarter Encyclopédie ne retardera pas la livraison de créature. C’était également un élément important pour nous. Nous sommes en train de finir le livre Encyclopédie et sa version finale devrait être prête à la fin de la campagne Kickstarter, environ mi-mars. Comme les autres livres, il sera imprimé en Europe. Tous les bonus que nous avons prévus ont déjà été créés ces derniers mois. Ils seront produits en Chine avec les autres accessoires actuellement en liste d'attente. En gros, les Stretch Goals de ce nouveau Kickstarter vont permettre de payer la production de ces bonus, qui seront offerts à tous les souscripteurs et sortiront pour certains dans le commerce fin 2021, courant 2022.

3/ Draconis, le art book de Chane en PDF

Nous avons profité du délai sur la fabrication du projet pour donner un dernier petit coup de polish au livre Draconis de Chane… Le voilà terminé, et vous devriez le trouver sur votre compte Backerkit très prochainement après cette mise à jour. Pour rappel, le premier artbook Draconis a été débloqué comme bonus et sera donc envoyé à tous les souscripteurs en PDF. Pour tous ceux qui ont pris pendant la phase Backerkit la version imprimée du artbook, vous recevrez également un PDF incluant la seconde partie, Étincelles !
